They love to hang out together, they don't mind being led onto a leaf
by a human hand, & it looks as tho they go through 4 stages (?). umm yes they do eat the green but not the fruit.
... and just a few of the flowers that bring the bees n butterflies. Swallow tails did better than Monarchs this year or at least about even steven. The freezes really hurt the Monarchs:(. All kinds of bees... very happy bees ...

... ok so some research today yielded answers:)... it is a "leaf footed bug", (Leptoglossus phyllopus).

one person suggested sunflowers to attract them away from tomatoes & peppers. which i will try. they will also be moved gently elsewhere along with suggestions they move on to another garden. "Operation Bug Relocation" starts on Monday.
Supposedly the emit a stinky when they get bothered but i have not expreienced that even when messing w them. but then again i dont offend critters much...
